A Milestone Moment for Dex-Lab
We were incredibly proud to host the South Australian Minister for Health at Dex-Lab for an exclusive demonstration of Daisy, our state-of-the-art humanoid robot. This visit marked an important milestone in our journey of exploring how robotics and human-centred AI can play a transformative role in the future of healthcare.

Demonstrating the Power of Human-Centred Robotics
During the Minister's visit, we had the opportunity to share our research, demonstrate Daisy’s capabilities, and discuss how platforms like hers can enhance patient engagement, reduce staff workload, and improve overall quality of care.
We also discussed how collaborative efforts between government, research institutions, and industry are essential to ensuring this technology is developed responsibly and inclusively. A lot of our time together was also spent discussing the possible deployment cases of Daisy, as well as how we would navigate the fine line between privacy and personalization when she’s out in the world.
More Than a Machine: Daisy’s Role in Healthcare
They saw firsthand that Daisy isn’t just a robot; she’s a tangible expression of what’s possible when cutting-edge engineering meets the real-world needs of clinicians, patients, and care workers.
Designed to interact naturally with humans, Daisy can perform a wide array of tasks that support aged care and rehabilitation therapy services in nursing homes and hospitals. Far from replacing humans, Daisy enables them to enhance their operational capabilities and upgrade their skills, freeing up time to focus more on care, rather than administrative tasks.

Innovation with Heart: Collaborating for Impact
This strengthens our belief that technology does not diminish the value of humans – it only elevates them and enhances their job satisfaction. We’re deeply grateful for the Minister’s time, genuine curiosity, and forward-thinking dialogue around the role of robotics in public health.
It’s encouraging to see leadership that’s not only supportive of innovation but also actively engaged in understanding how technology can serve the needs of the community.
What’s Next for Daisy and Dex-Lab
At Dex-Lab, we remain committed to developing intelligent robotic systems that augment, not replace, human care, and we’re excited to continue pushing boundaries in this space.
The future of healthcare is collaborative, adaptive, and technologically empowered — and we’re honoured to be contributing to that vision. Thank you Minister Chris Picton, Dr Robyn Lawrence, Mr David Wilkins & Ms Natalya Ann Thora Twohill for visiting us here in Singapore. We can’t wait to bring Daisy to South Australia soon.
